Florida Tax Relief – A $196 Million Tax Relief Plan

Florida lawmakers have approved a $196 million tax relief plan that includes a third tax holiday and new tax credits and exemptions. The plan, known as House Bill 7061, was put together by the House Ways & Means Committee. It was passed 117-1 in the House and Senate and is now awaiting the governor’s signature.get IRS tax relief

The relief plan is based on damage assessments made by FEMA in the affected areas. It also includes tax filing and payment postponement opportunities for people in Florida. Under this program, eligible taxpayers can postpone filing and payment deadlines until Feb. 15, 2023. After this date, however, they must seek an extension of time to file.
